The “CleanDesign” concept is geared to meeting the needs of the market and the various branches, especially those of the food industry. The idea is to build future machines in such a way that they are open, easy to clean and accessible. With Meypack’s CleanDesign idea, this is the first time that a construction principle is being planned for use in all existing packaging machines. That means: We don’t consider CleanDesign to be a product but rather more of a type of framework for approaching the planning and execution of future machine solutions. With the VP 451 in CleanDesign, we have developed our first prototype – the construction principle will also be used for further machines in the future.
The principle is simple: Surfaces of screws and components such as motors or hydraulics have been drastically minimised. The remaining surfaces have been rounded and sloped. Furthermore, the machine is extremely accessible due to its open construction. The result: Dirt has nearly no places to collect and the cleaning process, be it wet or dry, is incredibly simple since the few remaining surfaces can be lightly sprayed or treated with compressed air.
