The production was halted for two hours while employees were transported by bus to the new construction site, where a reception was held to celebrate the event.

A large three-storey office building is currently being built at the new site, alongside a spacious production area which will be used for warehousing and manufacturing purposes. The central section of the building will house communal and technical areas, bringing the total gross floor area to approximately 9,000 square metres.

The building section dedicated to offices and communal spaces will feature around 130 modern workstations. The communal areas will be sized to accommodate 65 production workers, while a welcoming cafeteria and an outdoor terrace will provide pleasant spaces for all staff to relax.

Work is progressing rapidly, and completion of the production building shell structure is expected by end-of-year. Construction of the new facility became necessary due to space constraints at Meypack's current site at Appelhülsen.

Meypack CEO Frank Balensiefer expressed his gratitude to everyone involved in the project, with particular thanks to the Aureli family. The latter are owners of Aetna Group, which Meypack joined in 2022. The CEO likened the new building to “a magnificent sailing ship”, but emphasised that, without its crew, it would be unable to move forward: "Collaboration is key: only together can we pull the right ropes, and it is a privilege to steering this ship alongside all of you."

Furthermore, Senden’s mayor, Sebastian Täger, said he was pleased to welcome another well-known company to the city.
